In case you didn't know, Rock Band DLC(that's downloadable content for the uninitiated) is announced every Friday and occasionally has some company from big-brother Guitar Hero III. This weekly feature is here to make sure you know what it is and have the oppertunity to prepare to pay for it.
Rock Band this week brings us it's first full album and, surprise! it's not the one they said it would be almost a year ago. Instead it's Judas Priest's Screaming For Vengeance. The album includes:
"The Hellion/Electric Eye"
"Riding On The Wind"
"Bloodstone"
"(Take These) Chains"
"Pain And Pleasure"
"Screaming For Vengeance"
"You've Got Another Thing Comin'"
"Fever"
"Devil's Child"
All are master tracks by the band itself and will retail for 160 Microsoft Points ($2) individually or 1200 MSP($15) as a whole album. It will hit the Xbox Live Marketplace on Tuesday and the PSN store Thursday along with the delayed Mötley Crüe single.
Guitar Hero III pulls out a track pack from a band that's trying to revive a career that stopped being relevent to anyone but headbanging amputees 15 years ago. That's right it's Def Leopard (P.S. Sorry I couldn't come up with as good of a one armed drummer joke as last week) The songs are:
"Photograph"
"Rock Of Ages"
And the new one:
"Nine Lives"
The Def Leopard pack will arrive on the Xbox Live Marketplace and PSN store Thursday for a price that hasn't been made entirely clear yet, but count on 600 MSP ($6.25) it will be available only as a pack.
Have fun and remember: being gay and a metal god are not mutually exclusive.
Fun Fact: "Nine Lives" was co-written by country star and Faith Hill hubby Tim McGraw
