With the release of Soulcalibur 4 right around the corner, Namco Bandai has announced that they will be bringing Soul Calibur to Xbox Live Arcade sometime this summer.
The port will be based off the popular Dreamcast version and will be upgraded in the form of HD visuals and online leaderboards. Unfortunately, there will be no inclusion of online multiplayer, as evidenced by a specific mention of “local two-player battles.” All of the original game’s characters and various modes will remain intact, however.
“The game is based on the Dreamcast version with no major additions or subtractions,” Namco told Shacknews.
You can probably expect this to hit the Xbox Live Marketplace sometime before SC4’s July 29th release date.
