In which a ghost of the 80s is resurrected.

I know the DLC for this week was already announced, BUT WAIT, THERE'S MORE!

In what seems like a first for whoever doesn't realize the song's been floating around file-sharing networks for months, Mötley Crüe (yes, THAT Mötley Crüe) is releasing their new single via Rock Band. The song is:

“Saints of Los Angeles” by Mötley Crüe

The song is a master track, and will sell for 80 MSP ($1). It will be available alongside this week's other DLC on Xbox Live Tuesday, and PSN on Thursday.

I should note in the interest of fairness that Guitar Hero III is planning to do the same thing with a new Def Leopard single. But this trumps that because A. it came out earlier. B. It's cheaper. C. Def Leopard's drummer only has 1 arm while Mötley Crüe's has 3.

Have fun and remember:  It may be "better" to burn out than to fade away, but it's certainly less profitable.
